What we did

A new roof, with attention to what lies beneath

For Gabriela’s home in Country Walk, Bigfoot Windows and Roofing completed a shingle re-roof together with fascia replacement and truss reinforcement. When tear-off revealed damaged fascia and weak trusses, the scope extended to address those conditions.

01

Shingle re-roof

Installed GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Charcoal with the documented underlayment, starter, ridge cap, ridge vent and metal edge components.

02

Fascia replacement

Replaced 100 linear feet of damaged fascia identified during the project.

03

Truss reinforcement

Reinforced weak trusses found at tear-off before completing the roofing work.

Challenges & solutions

What changed during the work

Rain postponed the planned start, and tear-off began on May 30. Once the existing roofing was opened, the team identified fascia damage and weak trusses, then replaced the fascia and reinforced the trusses.

The job chat also documents material shortages addressed the same day and a return visit for caulking and a corner seal on June 17.

A useful question before re-roofing

Ask how concealed wood damage will be documented and priced if it is discovered during tear-off. Confirm the process in your written scope before work starts.
