What We Do

Four services. One licensed contractor. Complete accountability from permits to final inspection.

Impact Windows

Miami-Dade County-approved impact windows designed to withstand hurricane-force winds and flying debris. Premium products from Mr. Glass, Eco Window Systems, and other trusted Florida-approved manufacturers, backed by our workmanship guarantee.

Impact Doors

From front entry doors to sliding glass doors, our impact door installations combine security, energy efficiency, and design. Every door meets or exceeds Florida Building Code requirements for hurricane protection.

Roofing

As a licensed roofing contractor (CCC 1333168) and GAF certified installer, we provide complete roofing services including new installations, replacements, and repairs built for Florida’s toughest weather.

Structural Modifications

Need wider openings, load-bearing changes, or code-required reinforcement? Unlike most window and door companies, Bigfoot is a licensed general contractor. We handle structural work in-house — no extra contractors, no finger-pointing.

Why Bigfoot Is Different

Most window companies can only replace what is already there. If your project needs structural changes — a wider opening, a load-bearing wall modification, or code-required reinforcement — they have to bring in someone else. That means more contractors, more schedules, more cost, and more risk.

Bigfoot is a licensed general contractor (CGC 1531370), a licensed roofing contractor (CCC 1333168), and a licensed glazing contractor (SCC 131153098). We handle the full scope of work under one roof — from permits and engineering to structural modifications and final inspection. You deal with one company from start to finish.

The Story Behind the Name

Bigfoot Windows & Roofing was founded in 2016 by Darryl Rosenbaum and named in honor of his father, Harvey Allen Rosenbaum — a decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War who earned the call sign “Bigfoot” from his fellow soldiers. Harvey’s dedication to his family and country instilled in Darryl the values that guide this company today: do the work right, treat people honestly, and stand behind what you build.

Today, Darryl and his brother Brady lead a licensed, bonded team that has helped hundreds of South Florida homeowners protect and improve their homes. Meet Darryl or learn more about the Bigfoot team.

Common Questions

Do I need impact windows if I live in South Florida?

In most South Florida jurisdictions, including Miami-Dade and Broward counties, building code requires hurricane protection for windows and doors. Impact windows satisfy this requirement while also improving energy efficiency, noise reduction, UV protection, and home security. Even if your home was built before current code requirements, upgrading to impact windows provides critical storm protection and can reduce insurance premiums.

How long does impact window installation take?

For a typical single-family home, impact window installation takes 1–3 days depending on the number of openings and whether structural modifications are needed. We provide a detailed timeline during your free consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

What if my window or door openings need structural changes?

This is where Bigfoot is different. As a licensed general contractor (CGC 1531370), we can handle structural modifications in-house — wider openings, load-bearing changes, code-required reinforcement. You do not need to hire a separate contractor. We manage the full scope of work.

Are you licensed for roofing as well as windows and doors?

Yes. Bigfoot holds three Florida licenses: General Contractor (CGC 1531370), Roofing Contractor (CCC 1333168), and Glazing Contractor (SCC 131153098). This means we can handle windows, doors, roofing, and structural work under one company.

What brands do you install?

We install premium impact products from trusted manufacturers including Mr. Glass, Eco Window Systems, and other Florida-approved brands. During your consultation, we show you product samples and help you choose the best option for your home, budget, and hurricane protection needs.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. We handle all permitting with your local building department, coordinate engineering when structural work is required, and schedule the final inspection. You do not need to manage any of the paperwork or bureaucracy.
